After graduating Oak Grove, I went on to get a
BS in Psychology from Santa Clara University. But
instead of pursuing a career in that field, I went to
LA and started a career in Retail Management. So
Cal was not for me, so I moved back to San
Jose. I have changed my career several times.
First, it was retail management, then I became a
medical assistant, medical office manager,
self-employed bookkeeper, and I now do the
accounting for 3 non-profits. I took 25 additional
units in accounting one summer at Santa Clara
University and am now prepared to sit for
the CPA exam, but am not sure if I want to do
all that studying again. I have 2 beautiful
daughters, now 15 and 23. I am legally separated
from their father after a 28 year relationship and
trying to get used to be single again; not easy at
48. I love staying in shape by doing ZUMBA and
working out at the gym. Love taking our yearly girls
trip to LA for shopping and seeing the taping of "So
You Think You Can Dance". We were in the front 3
years in a row!
