After graduation I joined the United States Air Force
as a telecommunications technician. I was stationed
in Colorado Springs (NORAD) until I got out in 1985.
I sure did miss California weather!
I moved to Rochester NY and worked for a long distance phone company while perusing music on the side. My band, “Alice in Thunder Land” toured the east coast from the late 80’s till the mid 90’s, until the record companies decided that heavy metal/hair bands were not marketable. Boy did it get cold in NY. I missed California weather!
My girlfriend and I moved to St. Louis, Missouri, to work for another phone company, and we have been here ever since. We were married in the early 90’s and blessed with a son in ’93. I have run various side business over the years in St. Louis, Sutton Race cars, teaching Tae Kwon DO, teaching guitar building and repair through IQ Learning Systems. I even drove the Bigfoot monster truck for a bit! Now that was fun, talk about stress relief!
Currently I work for a local phone company Centurylink in Ofallon as a switch technician. My son is a senior in high school and the lead goalie on his school hockey team. He is hoping to go to the university of Michigan, or Minnesota, on a hockey scholarship. Watching him grow into a man has been great! He is a much better person than I was at his age.
For fun I study the traditional Korean martial art, Kuk Sool Won, and my son and I race motorcycles in CCS. That is great father son bonding time. Well that’s about it, just looking towards the future for the next adventure! Oh and did I mention I miss California weather!!!!!
