Following graduation from OGHS, I attended UCSB and
obtained a BSME degree. This experience only
increased my fondness for the ocean. I then went to
work for Lockheed in Sunnyvale, where during my 11
year career I supported projects that included Hubble
Space Telescope and the STS-39 shuttle mission.
During this time I also earned my MSME from Santa
Clara University and met my wife to be in 1992. We
decided to marry and move to Chandler, AZ in 1995
where we have resided ever since. I continued my
career in aerospace by working at Motorola on the
ill-fated Iridium project for 5 years before it went
belly up. At about the same time, our daughter was
born and I started what I consider to be a second
career in the semiconductor industry. I’ve been at
Intel for 10 years where I am currently a Technical
Marketing Manager. It’s been during this time that I
developed a passion for travel and am often flying to
the west coast and South America to visit the
employees I manage and the customers that we support.
The travel also allows me to escape the searing
summer heat of Arizona, something I am not very fond
of. We also have 3 dogs, all of whom we rescued as
strays.
